Christian County, KY – On the evening of May 4, 2025, Deputies made contact with a local man that led to his arrest on multiple charges, including drug possession and fleeing from law enforcement.

Kenneth Lancaster
Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office observed a man later identified as 46-year-old Kenneth Lancaster of Hopkinsville, riding an electric bicycle without proper lighting on East 9th Street. Deputies made contact with Lancaster near Shawnee Drive, where he had stopped to inflate a tire. While deputies were checking his information, Lancaster fled the scene on his bicycle, ignoring repeated commands to stop.
During the chase, deputies observed a plastic item being discarded near the intersection of Skyline Drive. Lancaster continued to flee, eventually colliding with a patrol vehicle on Calvin Drive, at which point he was taken into custody.
A subsequent search revealed multiple items of contraband. Lancaster was found to be in possession of suspected synthetic marijuana—commonly known as “Spice”—as well as drug paraphernalia and a capped hypodermic needle. A plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine was later recovered from the area where deputies saw an item thrown during the chase.
Lancaster told deputies he fled because he had outstanding warrants. Those warrants were confirmed to be for non-payment of fines in Christian County.
Lancaster now faces the following charges:
- Failure to Comply with Bicycle Safety Regulations
- Fleeing or Evading Police, 2nd Degree (on foot)
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
- Possession of Synthetic Drugs – 2nd or Subsequent Offense
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine)
Lancaster was transported to the Christian County Jail.
