Traffic Stop Yields Meth, Felony Arrest of Dawson Springs Woman

Hopkinsville, KY – A Dawson Springs woman was arrested Monday night following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of suspected narcotics and multiple violations.

At approximately 10:17 PM on May 26, Deputies conducted a stop on vehicle with a broken taillight near Fort Campbell Boulevard. The driver, identified as 45-year-old Christy Hale, was found to have an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle and an active felony warrant out of Hopkins County.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Hale was charged with the following offenses:

  • No Tail Lamps

  • Excessive Windshield/Window Tinting

  • No Registration Receipt

  • Improper Display of Registration Plates

  • Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle

  • Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 3rd or Greater Offense (Methamphetamine)

Hale was transported to the Christian County Jail.
