CCSO Arrests Suspect on Assault and Strangulation Charges Following Altercation

Pembroke, KY – On June 22, 2025, at approximately 5:25 PM, Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported assault at a residence in the 100 block of North Main Street in Pembroke. Upon arrival, deputies met with the victim, who had visible injuries.

Witnesses reported that the suspect, Carl Lind, 38, of Hopkinsville, and his girlfriend arrived at the property and began yelling at the victim. After a verbal exchange, the victim and Lind moved to a grassy area, where Lind allegedly shoved the victim to the ground, struck him multiple times with a closed fist, lifted him by the neck, and shoved him again.

EMS evaluated the victim, who refused transport but later planned to seek medical care independently. Lind was detained nearby at convenience store where a check revealed two outstanding warrants for his arrest, both for Failure to Appear. Based on probable cause, Lind was arrested and charged with:

  1. Assault, 4th Degree (Minor Injury) (KRS 508.030)
  2. Strangulation, 2nd Degree (Non-Domestic Violence) (KRS 508.175)

Lind was transported to the Christian County Jail.
