Hopkinsville, KY — On the morning of June 20th, 2025, Deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a recurring issue in the 100 block of Cave Street involving a property where a structure (fence) was obstructing public access along a state right-of-way.

Anthony Tucker
Despite prior notices and a removal of the obstructing fence by the Kentucky Highway Department, 66-year-old Anthony Tucker attempted to rebuild the obstruction and became confrontational with responding crews and Deputies. The situation escalated when Tucker used his vehicle in an aggressive manner, placing others on scene in danger. When deputies intervened, Tucker refused to comply and physically resisted arrest.
He was taken into custody without further incident and faces the following charges:
- Criminal Mischief, 1st Degree
- Obstructing a Highway
- Obstructing Governmental Operations (Attempt)
- Menacing
- Assault, 3rd Degree – Police Officer
- Resisting Arrest
Tucker remains lodged in the Christian County Jail.
