Hopkinsville, KY – On July 28, 2025, at approximately 11:00 AM, Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 21-year-old Elvin Garcia of Hopkinsville after a pursuit on Russellville Road.

Deputies observed Garcia swerving into oncoming traffic and attempted a traffic stop at Circle K. Garcia struck a parked vehicle, nearly hit a Sheriff’s Office vehicle, and fled. He drove to Otis Circle, abandoned his vehicle, and fled on foot into his residence, ignoring commands to stop. Deputies apprehended him shortly after.
Garcia, who lacked a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance, had an open beer container in his vehicle and smelled strongly of alcohol. He refused a breath test. He faces charges including:
