On September 1, 2025, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on the Pennyrile Parkway. During the stop, deputies identified 36-year-old Sara Newman of Hopkinsville, Kentucky who had an active warrant issued by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office. Newman was transported to the Christian County Jail and charged with Theft of Identity Without Consent, Theft by Receipt of a Stolen Credit/Debit Card and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card
