On October 24th, 2025, at approximately 9:40 PM, Deputies responded to a report of a fatal collision on Lovers Lane near Romeo Drive. Upon arrival, deputies determined that a 77-year-old male victim was pronounced deceased.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office received results today from the Kentucky State Police Crime Laboratory that indicated the driver of an involved vehicle, Douglas Jones, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, had a blood alcohol content approximately three times the legal limit at the time of the collision.
Based on these findings, Detectives immediately obtained a warrant for Jones’ arrest. Jones was arrested and transported to the Christian County Jail. He is charged with Murder and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.
