On May 5th, 2026 at approximately 7:23 pm Deputies arrested 40-year-old Matthew Ellis of Hopkinsville KY following a traffic stop. Ellis was transported to the Christian County Jail and charged with Careless Driving, Driving DUI Suspended License (Aggravated Circumstances), Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence (3rd Offense), Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Drug Unspecified), Obstructing Governmental Operations, Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving
