On July 22nd, 2026, at 6:30 pm deputies stopped a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Matthew Wheatley of Clarksville for a traffic violation at the 9300 block of Pembroke Oak Grove Road.
During the stop, he was found to have two THC vapes, a container with a straw inside that had a white powdery substance on it, and a firearm.
Wheatley was arrested and charged with failure to wear a seat belt, possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
