On August 24th, 2026, just after midnight, deputies were given an alert that a juvenile wanted in connection with a homicide could be in the area and located the vehicle from the alert at Woodland Heights on Greenville Road.
They identified an apartment connected to the juvenile, and after speaking with a woman there, deputies, along with Hopkinsville Police, took the juvenile into custody.
The investigation into the homicide is being handled by Kentucky State Police Post 16.
