Christian County, KY — On the evening of May 5th, 2025, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, along with officers from the Hopkinsville Police Department, responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a vehicle and four bicyclists in the 1000 block of Pembroke Rd.
Upon arrival, first responders located two of the cyclists unresponsive, both suffering from significant injuries.

Isaiah Edwards
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 30-year-old Isaiah Edwards of Radcliff, Kentucky, admitted to law enforcement that he was distracted while driving. Further investigation revealed Edwards displayed multiple signs of impairment during roadside sobriety testing administered by deputies and later admitted to smoking marijuana earlier that morning. He was placed under arrest based on his performance during field sobriety and drug recognition evaluations.
Edwards has been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance – 3rd Offense (Aggravating Circumstance). He was transported to the Christian County Jail without further incident.
This collision remains under investigation by the Hopkinsville Police Department.
