Driver Arrested Following High-Speed Collision and DUI Investigation

Christian County, KY — On the evening of May 11, 2025, deputies with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office responded to a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred near the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Gate 7 Rd.

A deputy traveling southbound witnessed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in a reckless manner before it rear-ended another vehicle stopped at a red light. The force of the impact caused the struck vehicle to be pushed across multiple lanes of traffic, nearly resulting in additional collisions.

Viktoria Broadwater

Upon contact with the driver, identified as 24-year-old Viktoria Broadwater of Fort Campbell, deputies noted signs of extreme intoxication. The individual displayed slurred speech, poor balance, dilated pupils, and admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day. EMS responded to evaluate both parties, including the second driver who complained of back pain.

Broadwater was subjected to field sobriety tests, which she was unable to complete. She later consented to a breath test at the Christian County Jail and registered a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of more than three times the legal limit.

Broadwater was taken into custody and charged with the following:

  • Reckless Driving
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol – Aggravating Circumstance (1st Offense)
  • Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree
  • Failure to Produce Insurance Card
  • License to Be Carried on Person
  • Failure to Notify Address Change to Department of Transportation
