Hopkinsville, KY – On the evening of June 2nd, 2025, a deputy with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with multiple equipment violations near the Dyno Mart on Greenville Road.

Andrew Classen

The deputy observed the vehicle being operated without a front windshield and with a broken passenger-side brake light. A check of the license plate also indicated the need to verify insurance. After the vehicle briefly entered traffic, the driver returned to the Dyno Mart lot, where the stop was initiated.

The driver, identified as 39-year-old Andrew Classen of Cadiz, admitted to being on parole and consented to a search of himself and the vehicle. During the search, deputies located suspected methamphetamine, a glass pipe, and a cut straw—items consistent with illegal drug use. It was also determined that Classen had no valid insurance or registration receipt for the vehicle.

Classen was taken into custody without incident and is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Improper or No Windshield
  • Failure to Maintain Insurance (2nd Offense)
  • No Brake Lights (Passenger Vehicles)
  • No Registration Receipt

Classen was taken to the Christian County Jail.
