Traffic Stop Nets Methamphetamine Arrest in Hopkinsville

Hopkinsville, KY – A local man was arrested Wednesday evening after a traffic stop led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and several vehicle-related violations.

On June 4, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on North Main Street after observing a driver exhibiting suspicious behavior and failing to properly signal. The driver, identified as 24-year-old Graden Williams, was operating the vehicle with improper registration that expired in 2018 and no valid insurance.

During the stop, Williams made movements toward the center console area of the vehicle and was observed concealing an unknown item. A search of his person revealed a loose pill, and a search of the vehicle—granted by consent—led to the discovery of a baggie containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine hidden inside the console.

Williams was taken into custody and admitted to concealing the suspected narcotics.

He was transported to the Christian County Jail, charged with the following offenses:

  • Failure to or Improper Signal
  • No Registration Receipt
  • Improper Registration Plate
  • Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, 1st Offense
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine)
