CCSO Detectives Arrest Florida Man in Local Wire Fraud Investigation

Christian County Sheriff’s Office Detectives investigated a wire fraud incident involving a local business after its computer systems were compromised, resulting in a fraudulent wire transfer. The crime was discovered when the business did not receive a substantial payment that was expected. The investigation determined the altered communications appeared legitimate, and funds were traced through multiple financial accounts, including a cryptocurrency exchange. Detectives collaborated with law enforcement in Collier County, Florida, leading to the arrest and extradition of 72-year-old Robert Casais of Naples, Florida on December 30^th, 2025. He is currently lodged at the Christian County Jail and the investigation remains ongoing.
