On August 5th, 2026, deputies responded to a call to check the welfare of 61-year-old Robert Huskey of Crofton, who was possibly on drugs and had a firearm.
He was located on East Mill Street in Crofton, and after giving law enforcement consent to search his vehicle, a loaded rifle was located.
He was taken to the hospital to be checked out before being arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The request to check on him was from family members.
