On August 23rd, 2026, at 6:40 am deputies were called to East 19th Street for a man claiming his girlfriend tried to hit him with a vehicle.
The vehicle driven by 31-year-old Dayquanesha Redd of Hopkinsville was found pulling into a driveway, and she admitted to drinking alcohol the night before.
After field sobriety tests, she was taken into custody on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol third offense, driving on a DUI-suspended license, and fourth-degree assault domestic violence.
After further investigation, deputies found she had assaulted her boyfriend, 37-year-old Detrik Sharber of Hopkinsville, and he had also assaulted her.
Sharber was then arrested and charged with alcohol and toxication in a public place and fourth-degree assault domestic violence.
