On August 22nd, 2026, at 5 pm deputies were called about a vehicle whose driver was tossing liquor bottles out the window.
The vehicle driven by 63-year-old Kimberly Binder of Hopkinsville was located on Monkey Norman Road and stopped after deputies observed her driving recklessly.
She showed several signs of being under the influence, including slurred speech and difficulty maintaining her balance.
While taking her into custody, she punched a deputy, made several threats to assault the deputy, and then kicked a deputy while at the hospital.
Damage consistent with sideswiping something was found on her rental car.
Binder was charged with reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol third offense, menacing, resisting arrest, third-degree assault of a police officer, first-degree criminal mischief, third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree disorderly conduct, and failure of a non-owner operator to maintain required insurance.
