Man And Woman Charged With Drug Possession

On August 29th, 2026, at 8:06 pm, deputies noticed a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Danny Mazuera of Russellville, whose tag information showed he didn’t have a valid driver’s license.

The vehicle was at a gas station on North Main Street in Hopkinsville and pulled into a spot after getting gas.

Deputies got out with Mazuera and found him and his passenger, 40-year-old Brittany Jones of Hopkinsville were in possession of suspected meth, marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia.

They both told deputies they themselves would test positive for methamphetamine if tested. Jones claimed some of the suspected drugs in her purse were put there by Mazuera.

Jones was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of synthetic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).

Mazuera was also arrested and charged with no operator’s license, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of synthetic drugs, and possession of meth third or more offenses.
