On September 7th, 2026, at 9:33 pm deputies received a call from someone claiming her boyfriend was driving recklessly.
Deputies were able to locate the vehicle at the caller’s home on Evergreen Park Drive, with the driver then identified as 49-year-old Karson Adkins of Hopkinsville.
Adkins got out of the driver’s seat and showed signs of being under the influence of an unknown substance.
He was found to have warrants for theft by deception and theft by unlawful taking. After being arrested, suspected cocaine was found in his pocket along with suspected meth in the vehicle.
He claimed all the substances found were his. Adkins was arrested and charged with public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine, and possession of meth second offense.
