On September 15th, 2026, at 12:16 pm deputies were called for a pursuit that started in Madisonville and was southbound on Interstate 169.
The car driven by 26-year-old Jaylen Hoosier of Clarksville ran off the road several times, avoiding spike strips, and even drove toward deputies at one point who were out with the spike strips.
The pursuit ended on Interstate 169 at the 11-mile marker when Hoosier lost control after deputies used a precision immobilization technique.
Hoosier is charged with attempted murder, two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of first-degree criminal mischief in Christian County.
