On October 2nd, 2026, at 6:24 pm, deputies were called to check on a vehicle that was in a field on Pembroke Fairview Road.
63-year-old Genise Guynn-Day of Hopkinsville was found sleeping in the driver’s seat and admitted to having had wine earlier in the day, along with showing signs of being under the influence of alcohol.
She was found to have two white rocks believed to be crack cocaine in a lip balm container.
Guynn-Day was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, possession of cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
While at the jail, she was found to have more suspected crack cocaine on her.
