On September 5th, 2026, at 12:54 am, deputies stopped a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Kayla Simpson of Clarksville on Winners Way in Oak Grove for speeding.
During the stop, the odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle, and an open alcoholic beverage container was seen in the cup holder.
After a search, two glass pipes containing suspected cocaine, a white powdery substance, and a glass pipe containing suspected marijuana were found.
Simpson and her passenger, 76-year-old George Myles of Clarksville, were both arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Myles was charged with possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle prohibited.
Simpson was also charged with speeding, failure to maintain required insurance, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
